Car cutaways -- which list the suppliers of a vehicle's key components -- have proved popular in the pages of Automotive News.
This month, Production Line will introduce cutaways of future models, with data on suppliers, production forecasts and powertrain specs provided by IHS Supplier Business.
Our first cutaway is the Chevrolet Sonic, which enters production in August. It's a key product for General Motors, which hopes to become more competitive in North America's growing subcompact segment.
Every month, Production Line will post cutaways of a current model, plus a vehicle that has not yet been introduced. We hope you like it.
