Automotive News received several journalism awards recently.

The American Society of Business Publication Editors recognized Automotive News with the following Azbee awards:

• Gold at the national level in the Editorial Excellence/Special Supplement category for A Century of Chevrolet: The Stories that Shaped an Icon, our commemorative edition celebrating Chevrolet's 100th anniversary.

• Gold at the national level in the Online Excellence/Video category for "The Dealer Speaks with Karl Chevrolet's Carl Moyer."

• Silver at the national level in the Online Excellence/Webcast Series category for "AutoNews Now."

• Bronze at the national level in the Online Excellence/Webcast Series category for "First Shift."

• Silver at the Midwest-South Region level in the Editorial Excellence/Feature Article category for "A Dream Dies," by Arlena Sawyers, a look at the impact of the recession on minority auto dealers.

• Automotive News was ranked in the top 10 at the national level in the General Excellence, Magazine of the Year category for the March 21, 28 and April 4, 2011, issues. Those issues were largely devoted to coverage of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Automotive News also received the following Tabbie awards, presented by Trade, Association and Business Publications International:

• Silver in the Focus/Profile Article category for "One-on-One with Dad," by Mark Rechtin, a look at succession at the Larry H. Miller Group of Cos. dealership group.

• Honorable Mention in the Feature Article category for "A Dream Dies."

• Automotive News made the Top 25 with the March 21, 2011, issue in the Best Single Issue category.
